In Memoriam: Manny Stone

Manny Stone of Manny Stone DecoratorsAugust, 2016: We are sad to announce the passing of our patriarch, Manny Stone. He was 88 years old.

Manny was married to his wife Florence for 60 years and is survived by three children - Lloyd, Michael and Dodi Schultz, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Manny began his career in 1952 as a window trimmer, servicing more than twenty mom and pop clothing stores in New York and New Jersey from 1952 - 1985. He decorated show rooms in Manhattan under the company name Manny Stone Displays, and introduced his son, Lloyd and son in-law, Paul Schultz, to NYC trade shows in the mid seventies.

In 1986, Lloyd and Paul founded Manny Stone Decorators. Soon after, Manny Stone Decorators became an EAC at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Manny continued to work with Lloyd and Paul at trade shows until his retirement in 1989. Manny remained a design consultant and advisor to our family business until his passing.

Manny will be remembered as a family man and an icon; a true trailblazer in the visual merchandising industry.
